At Forest View Primary School, we aim to give our learners the best possible academic support according to their individual needs. We have one remedial trained teacher in the Foundation Phase and one in the Senior/Intermediate Phase. These teachers work closely alongside the class and subject teachers to compliment their classes with a pull-out system, focusing on the different academic, as well as developmental needs of different children.

The Foundation Phase also boasts a small Academic Support class. This class, currently in Grade 3, follows the same curriculum but the workload and pace is adjusted to better suit the needs of the learners. It is a smaller class, for better one-on-one assistance, and has it’s own remedial trained teacher. Here, we hope to give learners the best possible boost in their foundational learning, in order to set them up for greater success as they prepare for their Senior Primary years.
