About our school At Forest View Primary School, we accommodate learners from Grade R to Grade 7. We strive for excellence in teaching and academic standards while at the same time, encouraging each child to develop within their potential. We endeavour where we can, to have our learners tutored by specialists in their various subject fields. The Governing Body employs staff over and above the KZN Departmental allocation to keep our standards high. We are also in the fortunate position of being able to offer certain specialist subjects: The best way to describe the philosophy of the educators at Forest View Primary School is “holistic”. Learners at Forest View Primary School are viewed as whole individuals, with unique needs and strengths. Our focus is to identify the strengths in each child: whether academic, cultural, social or on the sports field. Each learner is abundantly and uniquely talented. Our passion is unearthing each one’s talent, and developing that to the full. The best way to achieve this is to offer each learner an opportunity to experience each of these areas. Our team includes motivated, talented educators; Arts, Music, Information Technology and Sports specialists; a dedicated speech / language therapist; a qualified youth / child-care worker and an audiblox practitioner. We aim to offer as much as possible in and out of the classroom and have well developed grounds, as well as a team of dedicated coaches, parents and teachers working together to train young sportsmen and women in various sporting activities. We love to see learners discover their passion, and grow to become the best that they can be. The result is a family of happy, well-adjusted young people ready for High School and the challenges they may face beyond the classroom by the time they leave us at the end of Grade 7. History
